Klaus Maurer, born 1959, lives and works in Berlin.
He had his first camera when he was 13 years old and ever since, photography has been a great passion. Early exhibitions of his photographic works in Regensburg (1982) and Frankfurt (1988) have brought acknowledgement and motivation to engage intensively in photography. In various courses and workshops and through coaching by professional photographers he has deepened his knowledge and skills.
His professional work in international development has induced extensive travels to over 60 countries where the photo camera has been a steady companion. This has left a rich and varied archive of photographs, and much of the portfolio draws from this source.
